K.O. Coliseum is the latest Teamfight Tactics set, and it will take players to an anime-inspired battlefield filled with references to your favorite shows. Featuring Power Ups, this TFT set will let you build your own heroes every single game!

New Set Mechanic: Power Ups

Power Ups Overview

  • Power Ups are strong effects applied to any champion via a consumable called Power Snax.
  • You receive 2 Power Snax per game:
    • First at Round 1-3
    • Second at Round 3-6
  • Using a Power Snax opens a choice of 3 Power Ups for a selected champion. Pick one to apply it.
  • Each Champion has a unique pool of Power Ups suited to them.
  • Power Ups enhance champions by:
    • Improving traits or playstyle
    • Forming duos or team-ups
    • Enabling perma-stacking
    • Changing abilities or functionality
    • Other unique effects

Interactions

  • Removing Power Ups:
    • Sell the champion or use a Power Limiter (1 per stage, stackable).
  • Power Ups are only active when the champion is fielded (like traits).
  • No repeats: Once you've seen a Power Up, it won't show up again.
  • Monster Trainer: Monsters and Hero augments have distinct Power Up lists and interact differently to ensure Power Ups stay on the correct champions.
  • Power Ups can be removed at any point via a remover to then use on another champion.

System Changes

Roles Revamped

  • Unit roles are evolving to offer more melee carries, unique ultimates, and specialized gameplay.
  • Mana gain now depends on champion roles. For example, Tanks gain 5 mana per attack and from taking damage, making them more likely to be targeted.
  • These changes improve gameplay and solve edge cases like splash damage giving enemy carries extra mana.

Targeting Changes

  • Within groups, tanks are now more likely to be targeted.
  • Helps in situations where a melee carry is sometimes targeted right away.
  • Anything that is the same distance away from an attacker, the tank will be the preferred target.

Traits

Prismatic Traits Revamped

  • Activating Prismatic traits now requires more than just reaching the required number of units in a trait.
  • You will need to complete certain challenges to unlock their powers.
    • The Crew: 3-star every Crew unit.
    • Mighty Mech: Collect three powerful Mighty Mech Augments.
    • Battle Academia: Put enough completed items on Battle Academia units.
    • Star Guardian: Field 8 Star Guardians, then spend enough Mana.
    • Crystal Rose: Cash out the right high-tier prize.
    • Soul Fighter: Field 8 Soul Fighters, then deal enough player damage through winning combat.

Unique Traits

  • Two of the more unique traits in this set are Stance Master and Monster Trainer, which each provide flexibility to your game plan.
  • Stance Master: Lee Sin (5-Cost)
    • Pick one of three stances as you field Lee Sin: Juggernaut, Duelist, Or Executioner.
    • You can freely change his stance throughout the game.
  • Monster Trainer: Lulu (3-Cost)
    • Summon one of three units to fight for you: Kog'Maw (Auto-attack based DPS), Rammus (tank), or Smolder (AD caster).
    • You can freely change which unit you want to field throughout the game.
