Teamfight Tactics Patch Notes Breakdown 16.2: Dinosaurs Extinct!

Overview

After a month long patch, we're sure most of you have been on the receiving end of some dinosaur lasers, and you've almost certainly also been the dinosaur at some point. Most metas become fairly solved at some point, and a prolonged month truly highlights that. Here's the TLDR:

  • T-Hex, Diana, and Graves dead

  • Loss streak Ixtal will be much weaker

  • Yunara weaker

  • Kalista and Zaun much stronger

  • Noxus stronger

Conclusions

T-Hex and Diana should be dead this patch. It is not worth playing it anymore, or at least it's not worth opening your early game for it. Yunara also took a significant hit, and you should be wary of playing her, though I suspect the default board that wants to unlock Ryze will still be pretty strong. Bilgewater also took a lot of nerfs -- it should be played more as a tempo comp to get to Miss Fortune and Tahm Kench now instead of digging around for Graves.

Keep an eye out on Jinx and Zaun comps as they received multiple buffs. Likewise, Noxus received multiple buffs and should feel strong in the mid game especially. Lastly, Shadow Isles should be much stronger. Kalista received a lot of major buffs, but unfortunately it is still not a comp you can really play without having Viego ready to unlock Yorick on 2-1.
