Samira Build Guide

Samira Build Guide

Overview

Are you an ADC main? Are you sick of waiting around for your teammates to do something (anything!) so that you can actually start to play the game? Well, look no further than Samira. She’s a champion that encourages ADC players to jump into the thick of the action as soon as possible (sometimes to their own detriment), and will be a good pick to have in your pocket if you feel like there will be a lot of close range skirmishes throughout the game. Keys to Remember About Samira

  1. She's not as reliant on the resets as other reset champions, as her Wild Rush [E] is more about repositioning than it is about generating more damage, but sometimes repositioning properly is exactly how she'll be able to deal more damage.

  2. It can be fine to start a fight -- especially if enemies over extend and chase you or your team -- with your Inferno Trigger [R]. You generally want to wait for them to blow their CC first before using it, though.

Strengths

Samira is an excellent team fighter, especially if she’s able to hold her big cooldowns until the end of the fight. She can clean up and dominate enemies who’ve already been chunked out thanks to her Inferno Trigger [R] providing a lot of AoE damage to enemies who’ve made the mistake of clumping up against her. She can also pop the ultimate to start the fight if she’s tracking which enemies can CC her and lock her down. The reset on kills for Wild Rush [E] will also ensure that she can chase down and clean up enemies with ease. The popoff potential is very high for her as long as she’s able to properly pick her spots.

Weaknesses

If she falls behind early, she’ll lack the damage to get the kills necessary to snowball fights. This is compounded by an early game that can be a bit lacking, as she is primarily only going to offer damage in lane phase. This means she’s a little reliant on her support to get the ball rolling on any potential kills. She’s also a rather squishy champion if enemies are able to jump on her after her Blade Whirl [W] is down, and as long as she is unable to get resets, Wild Rush [E] won’t be enough for her to get away from proper engages.

Game Plan

  1. Early Game: She has good damage and poke potential with Flair [Q], but in general it’ll be better to play itself until she is able to get her ultimate online.

  2. Mid Game: You can look to team fight at this point in the game -- especially once you get a couple of items online. As long as you get a full channel off on your ultimate, you’ll typically have done enough to help your team secure the fight.

  3. Late Game: You may need to be more prudent with your life at this point -- running into big enemy balls at the cost of your own life, even if you deal damage, can hamper your team’s ability to follow up on fight wins with objective pressure if they are missing their ADC.
