Teamfight Tactics Patch Notes Breakdown 15.7: Dragonlands and lots of 4-cost buffs!

Overview

We are quickly approaching the end of Set 15, which means you've got to start putting the pedal to the metal to reach your desired rank. You can read the full notes here. These are the big things to note in this patch:

  • Ao Shin's Ascent will no longer be playable as Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms (Set 7) will return as an alternate mode with some modern upgrades -- if you missed Daeja, Sohm, or any of the dragons, here's your chance to relive those days!

  • The balance is focused on strengthening middle tiers of traits so that splashing in traits or dropping from the max tier will be stronger.

Traits

  • Sorcerer (4) +5 AP

  • Soul Fighter (4) and (6) AD and AP buffed

  • Sniper (3) and (4) damage amp increased

  • Wraith (4) damage increased

  • 1-Cost

    • Gnar range 4-> 5

    • Rammus

      • Shield increased

      • HP per taunted enemy increased

    • Udyr healing increased for base and mentor

    • Dr. Mundo ability no longer cleanses debuff and CC

      • Secondary damage decreased

    • Kog'Maw on-hit damage decreased

      • Fixed some bugs that made him stronger than appeared

      • Can no longer be offered Mage Power Up

    • Yasuo spell damage decreased

Notable Item Changes

  • Guinsoo's Rageblade AS increased from 6% to 7%

  • Kraken stacks faster

  • Sniper's Focus range decreaed from 2 -> 1

Notable Augment Changes

  • Zac hero augment buffed

Notable Power Up Changes

  • Best Defense nerfed

  • Unstoppable nerfed (again)

Conclusion

  • If the goal is to increase comp diversity by having people angle more towards lesser tiers of traits, then that is probably not going to happen this patch. The buffs to the (4) pieces and other mid tier traits are just not enough.

  • Yuumi + Prodigies should see a big spike in play and success with buffs to both her and Leona.

  • Ashe + Udyr could finally be playable again.

  • Gnar into Volibear-centric comps could be on the rise with buffs to both of these units.
