Tejo VALORANT Guide

Tejo VALORANT Guide

Overview

Do you need to plant the spike? Is there a Tejo on the other team? Well, too bad for you, because here comes some missiles. Tejo is an agent that is tailor made for players who want to play initiator but don’t want to deal with the hassle of learning complicated matchups. His abilities are simple to use and are great at flushing enemies out of tight corners and will be a great complement to any team that is able to lock enemies in place.

Role: Initiator

Initiators can gain information on enemy position for your team and they can help flush enemies out of tight hiding spots.

On defense, their utility is used to gain information first and foremost, but they are also adept at supporting aggressive plays and retake scenarios.

On attack, their utility is used to clear tight angles and to make it harder for opponents to sit in expected defensive positions.

Tips and Tricks

  • Stealth Drone [C] can see enemies before they see you, so try to skirt around with it for info instead of running directly at someone -- you only need to do that if you are trying to suppress them.

  • You can use Special Delivery [Q] to clear tight angles -- especially if you know they’re there from your drone or from other teammates gathering information.

  • Guided Salvo [E] is generally used to flush tight corners on offense, especially early in the round, as they’ll typically be back up for you to use once enemies begin to defuse the spike. It can also be used to force people off of angles if you find yourself short on smokes.

  • On defense, Guide Salvo [E] can be used to deny the spike plant -- this means you should be aware of common plant spots. You can also save it to flush players out of common post-plant spots.

  • If you have a Breach or a Vyse on your team, you can often get kills by timing your salvos with their utility -- in general, anything that dazes opponents or roots them in place is extremely good to pair with Tejo.

  • And that logic extends to his Armageddon [X], which is strategically in line with what you are trying to do with your salvos. The difference is that it covers a much wider area, so if you’re able to lock enemies in a tight corridor, like on Haven’s C Long, it can lead to multiple kills.
