Overview
Fiora is one of the premier duelists in the game, and when left unchecked in a side lane, she can easily snowball her leads into isolated kills and then push for towers if not the nexus itself. She’ll reward players who have good reaction time and know which abilities they should parry and is a huge hyper carry threat the longer a game goes. Keys to Remember About Fiora
Fiora is a champion that thrives in side lanes to an extent that is greatly disproportionate to her value in team fights, which means you need to commit to a split pushing style and learn how to win games by generating side lane pressure. It doesn't mean you shouldn't ever group, but you need to know when to do it vs. when to not do it.
Riposte [W] is your most important ability, and focusing on landing a proper parry is more important than even proccing vitals -- you need to be always be aware of which enemy ability you need to riposte.
Strengths
Fiora is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, duelists in the game thanks to her Grand Challenge [R] -- in a one on one fight in which she can maneuver around her opponents with Lunge [Q] to proc all of the vitals, she is almost guaranteed to win thanks to both the damage and the sustain. She can also parry their most important ability with Riposte [W], and a well timed parry can instantly win her a fight even without needing to proc all of the enemy vitals. This makes her an extremely deadly split pusher, and when she’s ahead, she’ll be able to draw multiple opponents to her lane and still threaten to kill all of them.
Weaknesses
If she falls behind early and lacks split push pressure, it’ll be much more difficult to find value with her in team fights as her primary add for your team is going to be damage. She can be focused down with CC and easily killed if she’s not careful about when she chooses to go in, but she must approach enemies to have any sort of value in fights. This means she generally doesn’t want to group at all, so her impact in the game can often be heavily dictated by how her early game fairs. And once she is ready to fight, her Riposte [W] can be the difference between winning or not -- it can be a tricky spell to properly time, and using it incorrectly will leave her extremely vulnerable to counterattacks.
Game Plan
Early Game: She can trade pretty well thanks to Lunge [Q] and Duelist’s Dance [P] -- as long as you play around the passive, you can secure repeated wins in trades until your opponent can no longer fight back.
Mid Game: Look to split push as much as possible -- you want to draw enemies to your lane to create opportunities for your team to make crossmap plays.
Late Game: The game plan doesn’t change much from mid game, though you will have even more solo kill pressure, so don’t be shy and take a fight!
