Camille Build Guide

Camille Build Guide

Overview

Here is the concept: a super mobile top laner who can force you into dueling her. Also, she legs are swords. That’s Camille. A champion that weaves in and out of pro play thanks to her 1v1 prowess, Camille is one of the best side lane champions in the game thanks to her mobility allowing her to play very forward, and her 1v1 potential makes it hard for opponents to outright beat her. Keys to Remember About Camille

  1. Hextech Ultimatum [R] can be used in a lot of creative manners, including disrupting enemy abilities by timing it as they use it -- be able to set up the walls also allows you more flexibility with your Hookshot [E].

  2. Camille has a high skill cap thanks to the creative nature and capability of her Hookshot [E] -- how and when you use it is going to determine how good you are at Camille.

Strengths

Hookshot [E] is her bread and butter in that there are a lot of creative angles you can take with it. It’s a tool that allows you to escape from danger or jump onto enemies with ease. Camille can also often bait enemies into thinking she’s running away from them only to instantly turn back with her Hookshot and go for the one-shot, which she’s more than capable of thanks to the damage output on her Precision Protocol [Q]. As such, she’s a champion with a rather high skill cap, and if you're smart with her, you can almost always guarantee yourself a kill with her Hextech Ultimatum [R], which can also double as a way of buffering and dodging enemy abilities.

Weaknesses

She’s a difficult champion to learn, but what makes her especially hard is learning her limits when it comes to fighting potential. The best Camille players will be able to turn around opponents even when they themselves are sitting on a sliver of health, but that’s going to require patience and understanding of the raw damage output she is capable of. Otherwise she can feel like a squishy champion that doesn’t get that much done -- if she is using Hextech Ultimatum [R] just to use it, she’ll quickly find that they’re not stuck in there with her and that, in fact, she’s stuck in there with them.

Game Plan

  1. Early Game: Her trading pattern revolves around peeling back with Tactical Sweep [W] after landing Precision Protocol [Q] and her passive, Adaptive Defenses [P]. She can easily set up ganks so be sure to keep your Hookshot [E] ready to either commit for kills or escape from ganks.

  2. Mid Game: Continue the same pattern from early game but look to pressure side lanes -- she should have a lot of kill pressure in 1v1s and then use the space gained to look for flanks.

  3. Late Game: She’s a strong split pusher and should commit to side lanes still, but in fights she can easily delete the enemy backline if she’s able to Hookshot [E] on them over a wall or from behind.
