Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps update gives the Cursed Apple a major refresh, with a revamped map, six incoming heroes, and a long list of improvements that should make matches easier to follow.
The city itself is the biggest draw. Redesigned streets and four distinct districts bring more character to the map, while new neutral creatures add different behaviors to encounters. There’s more to discover between fights, too, including healing snacks, expanded permanent buffs, and steam vents that offer invisibility and a little regeneration.
Joining the roster are Deadman Danny, Nurse Harrow, Solomon, Baba, Violet, and Rat King. Players decide their release order through voting, with two heroes arriving each week starting October 2. Meanwhile, a temporary merchant called the Broker offers powerful Corrupted items with randomized drawbacks—tempting upgrades for anyone willing to accept the tradeoff.
Beyond the headline additions, the update makes everyday play clearer and more customizable. Improved health bars, combat information, shop filters, and pings help players make decisions faster. Accessibility settings, expanded practice tools, new dialogue, and performance improvements round out an update that touches nearly every part of the game.
